What you get at the estate
Every format we offer is built around direct contact with the wine, the vines and the people who tend them. Here is what you can expect from a day with us.
Walk through the chai with our winemaker, see the stainless steel tanks and oak barrels up close, and hear how each cuvée is raised. You leave with a clear picture of what happens between harvest and bottling.
A practical session on reading a wine: colour, aromas, structure and finish. You learn to describe what is in your glass and to compare our white, rosé and red cuvées with confidence.
Follow the rows of local grape varieties, from the young shoots in spring to the ripe clusters at harvest. We explain our organic practices and how the Loire climate shapes each vintage.
Buy our millésimé limited editions and confidential cuvées straight from the source. No middlemen, no waiting — just the bottles we have set aside for visitors.
Our rustic setting hosts celebrations for small groups and large families alike. We handle the layout, the welcome and the wine pairing so you can focus on your guests.
Several times a year we open the doors for tastings, meet-the-maker moments and seasonal releases. Check the calendar and book your commented tasting in advance.
Ways to explore the estate
Every visit to Cave de la Vigne is built around what you actually want to do: sit down for a guided tasting, walk the rows with the team, or turn the courtyard into a setting for a private celebration. Below is how each format works in practice.
A 45-minute walk through the chai with the winemaker. You see the tanks, the barrels and the bottling line, and hear how each cuvée is raised. Tasting of three current wines included at the end.
Groups up to 10 people. Tours run Saturday mornings from April to October, and on request during the week.
A two-hour initiation into wine tasting: how to read colour, identify aromas and understand acidity on the palate. We work with five wines from the estate, including a limited millésime.
Perfect for small groups of friends or colleagues. Held in the tasting room, with printed tasting sheets to take home.
A guided stroll through the parcels around Couëron. We talk about organic farming, local grape varieties and how the Loire climate shapes each vintage. About 2 km on gentle terrain.
Wear comfortable shoes. The walk ends back at the cellar with a tasting of two wines.
The cellar shop is open every Friday and Saturday afternoon. You can taste before you buy and pick up bottles that never leave the estate: small batches, older vintages and the current release.
We keep a stock of all cuvées, so you can build a mixed case or simply grab a bottle for the evening.
The courtyard and the old barn host receptions for up to 80 guests. We handle the wine side — a dedicated bar, a selection of estate wines and staff for the service — while you bring your own caterer.
Dates are limited between May and September. A site visit is the first step.
Twice a year, usually in spring and before the holidays, we open the whole estate for a weekend. Guided tours, tastings of new releases and a chance to meet the family behind the bottles.
No reservation needed for the open cellar days. Check the estate journal for the next dates.
Tell us about your group and we will suggest the right visit, or combine a tour with a tasting workshop.
Ways to visit the estate
Each format is built around a different pace and level of detail. Whether you have an hour between meetings or a full afternoon to wander the rows, there is a fitting way to discover what our organic parcels produce.
A guided walk through the chai with our winemaker. You will see the tanks, the barrel corner and the bottling line, then taste three current cuvées side by side.
A hands-on session focused on how to read a wine: colour, nose, structure and finish. We use our own vintages to illustrate each step, with room for your questions.
A slow stroll through the parcels with explanations of our organic practices: cover crops, natural pest control and how we read the soil before each season.
The estate opens for family gatherings, small weddings and corporate evenings. We tailor the menu, the wines and the setting to match the occasion.
Not sure which format fits your day? Read about our approach to hosting or reach out and we will help you decide.
