Common Questions

What Visitors Usually Ask

Straight answers about tastings, cellar visits, and how our organic wines reach your table.

Do I need to book a tasting in advance?

For the commented tasting and the cellar tour, yes. Groups are kept small so you can actually talk with the winemaker and ask questions. Walk-in purchases at the cave are always welcome, but guided visits need a reservation.

How long does a visit to the estate last?

The commented tasting runs about an hour. If you add the walk through the vines, plan for another 45 minutes. The cellar tour alone is shorter, around 30 minutes, and works well if you are passing through Couëron for the afternoon.

Are the wines available for purchase on site?

Yes. The cave sells our current cuvées directly, including the limited millésime editions that do not reach shops. You can taste before you buy, and we can help you choose a bottle to take home or offer as a gift.

Can we host a private event or wedding at the domaine?

We welcome private events in the courtyard and the old cellar throughout the warmer months. The setting is rustic and authentic, with the vines as a backdrop. Contact us with your date and guest count, and we will outline what we can arrange.

What makes your wines organic?

We farm without synthetic herbicides or pesticides, using compost and natural cover crops to keep the soil alive. The grapes are harvested by hand, and fermentation follows traditional methods. The result is a clean, expressive wine that reflects the local cépages.

Is the domaine accessible for people with reduced mobility?

The tasting room and the cave are on ground level and accessible. The walk through the vines follows a dirt path that can be uneven after rain, so we recommend sturdy shoes. Let us know in advance, and we will adapt the visit.
